Spotlight On Asia Retirement

The Society of Actuaries (SOA) and  LIMRA jointly commissioned an Asia-wide research project to study the current state and future opportunity of the retirement market in Asia.  Asia is going through a rapid demographic transition, generating a surge that threatens existing pension systems.  Under the current scenario, the pension systems of most markets are unable to provide adequate coverage or adequate income replacement to the retirees and are under tremendous pressure to go through massive reforms to ensure long-term sustainability.
