This report is on intercompany mortality experience by amount of insurance under standard individually underwritten issues, including policy years 2002–04. In addition to the report is a one page document, the ‘Milliman extension to the 1975–80 Basic Tables,’ with an accompanying Excel spreadsheet. Also included are two Excel workbooks containing pivot tables, providing more detail of the data summarized in the report.

The report also combines experience between 1986 and 1991 anniversaries in order to provide a larger volume of data. This report is a revision of an earlier publication of the ‘Mortality under Standard Individually Underwritten Life Insurance Between 1990 and 1991 Anniversaries.’ This revision corrects previous mortality ratios for all 1986-91 and 1985-90 experience and 1990-91 smoker/nonsmoker experience. Description: This survey report from the Business Decisions [Reinsurance] Survey Subcommittee of the Society of Actuaries Committee on Life Insurance Mortality and Underwriting, was intended to gather information on reinsurers’ views and practices with respect to ceding companies making ‘Business Decisions,’ defined as decisions ‘beyond the rules’ or ‘outside the underwriter’s intelligent judgment.’

Description: This is the fourth Intercompany Study of Long–Term Care Insurance. This report combines and analyzes data received from 24 insurers that agreed to provide information to further the knowledge of long–term care insurance. Data has been collected on policies issued from January 1, 1984 through December 31, 2001.

Description: This report presents the results of the most recent study of individual life insurance lapse experience in the United States. The observation period for the study is calendar years 2003 and 2004. The study is based on data provided by 43 individual life insurance writers and it presents lapse experience between 1902 and 2004.

Description: This report revises, extends, and reformats the non-insured home and community based long term care incidence and continuance tables in the 1995 LTC Task Force Report using more extensive and more recent data from the 1984 and 1989 National Long-Term Care Surveys.

Description: LIMRA and the SOA Research Institute have completed the most up-to-date study of term/whole life lapse/surrender. Twenty-eight companies contributed data to this Study, covering the seven-year period from policy anniversary in 2015 to policy anniversary in 2022.

Description: The Group Life COVID-19 Mortality Survey gathers a high-level view of U.S. Group Term Life Insurance mortality results during the COVID-19 pandemic through June 2023, as compared to prior period baseline mortality results. This new report is an update to the survey report released in May 2023, which contained data through December 2022.
