Description: This paper, part of the Society of Actuaries [SOA} ‘Research Projects – Finance/Investment,’ was developed by a working group was set up by the SOA’s Finance Practice Area to look at how the insurance industry measures and monitors risk through risk position reporting. This paper reports on the findings of this working group, establishing industry standard practices in risk position reporting. The paper also determines a number of areas in which insurance industry practitioners believe risk position reporting in the insurance industry can be improved.
