Happy New Year!

First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to each of you who participated in the recent section election—casting your votes and showing your support for our section.

I am honored to take on the role of section council chair, alongside Jonathan Bondy, our vice chair. I am also excited to welcome and congratulate our five new section council members who have joined us since the ImpACT meeting this past October.

Our new council members bring global perspectives and ideas that will help us serve you better. As we embark on this new journey together, we look forward to hearing from you and understanding your needs, concerns and aspirations. Please feel free to join the LinkedIn group for the International Section to exchange information, learn of upcoming events and resources, and expand your network.

I would also like to acknowledge the contributions of our outgoing council members and our chair, Jon Wu. They have worked hard to advance our section and have generously passed the torch to us.

By the time you read this newsletter, we will have wrapped up our annual planning process. In 2024, we will continue to work together to provide you with exceptional resources, networking opportunities and professional development. We will continue serving your interests under the new SOA membership fee framework.

As we move forward, we also extend a warm invitation to any potential new members. If you know of colleagues who would benefit from joining our section, please encourage them to do so.
