Candidates for 2022 Section Election
The Society of Actuaries sponsors 20 professional interest sections. Three of those sections (Modeling, Technology and Predictive Analytics and Futurism) currently comprise the Emerging Topics Community. All 20 sections will hold elections in 2022 to elect council members. Section councils and community leaders plan and execute the activities of the section or community in line with its mission. Councils range in size from nine to 12 members and are elected by section members. Each year, approximately one-third of each council is replaced by newly elected volunteers.
Below is a list of this year’s section council candidates linked to biographical information and answers candidates provided to the questions. Bios are limited to identification of employment, major fields of professional activity, service in the Society of Actuaries, and other relevant experience. Candidate names are listed below and on the ballot in the order that SOA received their information.
Voting opens on August 22 and closes on September 9.
