Why I’m Ready to Lead
My career has been defined by innovation, impact, and global collaboration. I’ve led transformative initiatives that reflect the future I envision for the SOA:
CEO, ReimagineRisk Limited
Driving insurance innovation through behavioral data and food-as-underwriting, building partnerships across healthcare, food systems, and insurance.
Product & Strategy Leadership
- Launched Canada’s first Indexed Universal Life product
- Designed market-first lending and ALM strategies
- Built new distribution channels and dual-licensed financial services platforms
- Led actuarial transformation across Canada and Asia
Volunteer Leadership Across Borders
I’ve helped shape actuarial education, governance, and global engagement—serving on the SOA Board, International Section Council, and Actuaries of the Future Section Council, as well as contributing to the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong.
These experiences reflect not just technical expertise, but a commitment to advancing the profession through inclusive leadership and strategic foresight.
Message Two
I’ve always believed that leadership begins with listening—and that meaningful change happens when we work together.
Throughout my career, I’ve led teams through uncertainty, launched first-in-market innovations, and built businesses from the ground up. Whether it was launching a new business line in China during the pandemic or pioneering food-as-underwriting innovation, I’ve focused on solving real problems with creativity, empathy, and action.
I’ve also had the privilege of serving our community through a range of volunteer roles:
- SOA Board Member (2022–2024)
- International Section Council & Actuaries of the Future Council
- Curriculum and exam development across North America and Asia
With a degree from Oxford University and professional experience across Toronto, Waterloo-Kitchener, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing, I’ve seen firsthand how global collaboration strengthens our profession and expands our impact.
What I bring to this role is a global perspective, a proven track record of innovation, and a deep commitment to serving our members. It would be an honor to continue contributing to our community and shaping the future of our profession—together.
I’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas. Please feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn to continue the conversation.
