We are delighted that you are interested in learning more about volunteering at the SOA.
On this Web page you will find tools we think will assist you in making your decision about volunteering.
If you're just visiting the SOA and not sure about volunteering, select Benefits of Volunteering for a summary of the many personal and professional rewards you gain by volunteering.
Volunteering offers you many opportunities to develop professional skills–skills you can carry back to your workplace. We encourage you to share the Employer Benefits
with your employer.
We've collected some Web Resources that offer valuable information for you to use in your workplace and as a volunteer. From advice on how to put together presentations and improve your public speaking skills to time management tips, these resources contain something for everyone.
Look through the Volunteer Job Description Library to learn more about volunteer positions at the SOA. The Library will give you an idea of the many types of volunteer opportunities available, which will assist you in deciding what kind of volunteer work you would like to do.
If you've decided you would like to volunteer at the SOA, please complete the Volunteer Interest Form. Though most of our volunteer positions require that you be a credentialed actuary or other professional, we are still interested in hearing from you. We would be happy to keep students and candidates on our list of future volunteers.
