The Canadian Institute of Actuaries and Society of Actuaries Committee on Life Insurance Research, the Product Development Section and the Financial Reporting Section, sponsored this study investigating how the Canadian life insurance industry is utilizing predictive modelling. Authored by Jean-Yves Rioux, Arthur Da Silva, Harrison Jones and Hadi Saleh of Deloitte, the report provides insights into applications used in the Canadian life insurance industry compared to those of other industries and touches on trends that are likely to impact how companies do analytics.
