SOA Sponsored Study Resources for Actuarial Students
Through support from the SOA’s CAE Grants program, the actuarial department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has developed publically available online study resources for SOA Exams P, FM, MFE, MLC, and C.
The study resources include videos to help students understand the solutions to exam problems. With the exception of Exam MLC*, the exam problems used are essentially the same sample problems posted on-line by the SOA and Casualty Actuarial Society. In addition to the videos, a written solution is included for each question, as well as the SOA/CAS posted written solution. In this way, students can see alternate ways to solve a given problem.
*Candidates should be aware that the sample questions provided with the syllabus for Exam MLC have been revised to reflect the 2014 learning objectives and terminology – the questions on the Wisconsin resource have not been updated for the 2014 changes.
