Ready to put your machine learning skills to the test? The 2022 Predictive Analytics Hack-A-Thon is back and better than ever! Work with a small team and to get your predictability gears churning to create the best prediction based on given data sets. This competition will take place between May 13-15 and winners will be asked to participate in the Predictive Analytics Seminar on June 9, 2022.
Don’t forget to get your brains warmed up before finding this competition on the Kaggle platform.
The PA Seminar Hack-a-Thon is all about challenging you. Put you and your team to the test with key problems that provide you with given data sets, allowing you to make the best prediction possible. Practice for the Hack-a-Thon with the following example:
The task is to predict house sale prices based on the house information, such as # of bedrooms, living areas, locations, near-by schools, and the seller summary. The data consist of houses sold in California on 2020, with houses in the test dataset sold after the ones in the training dataset. Also the private leaderboard houses were sold after the ones in the public leaderboard.”
Competitors can:
. Take on the competition on their own or as a group (with a maximum of five participants per group);
· Choose their own team or have team members randomly selected; and
· Choose between expert or beginner levels, with both levels being held on the same platform.

· Invitation to speak during one of the Predictive Analytics Seminar’s sessions on June 9.
· Honorable mention in each organization’s online news bulletin service.
Entry fee for the Hack-A-Thon is $40 per individual. You must be a member of one of the hosting organizations (SOA, iCAS/CAS or the CIA/CIAnet). If attending the Predictive Analytics Seminar, you will be eligible for a discount code. Codes can be found in the confirmation email of the seminar.
