Health and Safety
Your health and safety are of the utmost importance. The SOA continues to monitor guidelines for health and safety measures from the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the State of Illinois, and Cook County.
This page will be updated with information about the Society of Actuaries plans for health and safety policies for attendees, speakers, and staff at the meeting. Please check back frequently for news and additional guidance as we refine our planning.
The SOA has taken the following steps to ensure your safety:
- We are working closely with the local community and hotel. The SOA will follow applicable federal, state and local laws, adapting our plans accordingly and sharing updates with you along the way.
- We require all attendees to review and comply with the SOA COVID-19 Safety Protocol Agreement. Before being admitted to the 2022 SOA Life Meeting, attendees will be required to provide either (a) proof of vaccination, with the final dose administered at least 14 days prior to the Event; or (b) proof of a negative, medically observed COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen) taken within 3 days prior to the arrival at the meeting.
- The SOA partners with ShareMyHealth to validate attendee health status prior to attending the 2022 SOA Life Meeting. ShareMyHealth allows attendees to share their vaccination records or lab results prior to attending the event.
- Mask-wearing and social distancing may by implemented pending local protocols and procedures.
- We will put our best effort forward to abide by social distancing guidelines recommended by the CDC.
