Background

There have been reports on how plant-based and other diets can prevent or reverse some of these obesity-related diseases. Assessing the impact of these diets on diseases associated with obesity is important for shaping health and insurance practices to influence behavior and produce positive outcomes.

  • Identify several diets that claimed or appear to have positive impacts on the prevalence and severity of obesity-related diseases.
  • Survey literature and data and analyze data that measures the impact of these diets on obesity-related diseases, including the level of adherence to each diet on both a long and short term timeline.
  • Deliverable: A report summarizing results and conclusions
