Message from the Society of Actuaries on Respect and Equality

June 3, 2020

Dear Members and Candidates,

As the Society of Actuaries, we are a community of problem-solvers.  Our members and candidates value objective, data-driven analysis.  What we don’t often talk about is how deeply we care – for one another as colleagues and for the individuals across the communities in which we live and serve.

We stand against racism in all forms. We stand for respect and equality. On behalf of our Board, members, candidates, staff and volunteers, we are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion that reflects the diverse perspectives, cultures, and backgrounds of the communities that we serve.

We will send a separate invitation for a virtual community forum soon.  We encourage every member and candidate who is able to do so to join us to share your voices, listen to one another and bring the determined problem-solving spirit that drives us all.

As always, stay safe and be well,
