2022 SOA Elections Results: Announcing New 2022–2023 Board Members and President-Elect and Vice-Chair

Schaumburg, IL., Sept. 14, 2022 – The Society of Actuaries (SOA) announces the results of the 2022 Board of Directors Elections, with five new Board members elected and a new President-Elect and Vice-Chair for the 2022–2023 term.  

All elected Board members will begin their duties at the 2022 SOA ImpACT Conference. The newly elected Board members include: 

  • Karen Burnett, FSA, FCIA, of Toronto, ON 
  • Ian Duncan, FSA, FIA, FCIA, MAAA, FCA, of Santa Barbara, CA 
  • Lisa Kuklinski, FSA, MAAA, of New York, NY 
  • Melody Prangley, FSA, MAAA, EA, FCA, of Albany, NY 
  • Kelly Rabin, FSA, MAAA, CFA, of Issaquah, WA 

The SOA also announces Timothy Rozar, FSA, MAAA, CERA, of Chesterfield, MO, will serve as the 2022–2023 SOA President-Elect and Vice-Chair. Rozar will become the 75th president at the 2023 ImpACT Conference, the SOA’s annual meeting. He is currently the Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff to the CEO at RGA Reinsurance Company. Rozar has served as a member of the SOA Board of Directors, as chair of the Product Development Section Council and InsurTech Task Force, and as a member of the Research Executive Committee, Technology Section Council, and Committee on Life Insurance Research.  

John W. Robinson, FSA, MAAA, FCA, the first Black SOA President, will begin his 2022–2023 term as President and Chair during the 2022 ImpACT Conference. Jennifer L. Gillespie FSA, MAAA, will serve as Past President for the 20222023 term.
