A Tool for Mapping and Graphing Google’s Mobility Dataset

These two Excel/VBA files can graph and map Google’s data from Google’s mobility dataset. Google compiles the mobility dataset using anonymized information from cell phone users who have turned on their "Location History" setting. The data shows how visitors to (or time spent in) categorized places change compared to the baseline period, where the baseline was computed with data from January 3 to February 6, 2020. The dataset can be helpful for assessing how social mobility has changed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

This version of the two Excel files contains data through September 9, 2021. Going forward, the Excel files will be updated periodically to reflect the latest available mobility data. Note that Google’s raw dataset is freely available for download:
