To manage these additional cases without increasing headcount at the same pace, the team has to operate more and more efficiently. In a market where response time is a key differentiator, we improve efficiency by using machine learning to triage and prioritize the underwriting team's case work. In this talk, we describe the model pipeline end to end. That is, we cover the entire implementation chain from accessing data to the eventual evaluation of the added value. It requires the belief from the leadership and a group of dedicated analytical professionals to solve emergent business problems that existing strategies cannot address in an evolving market. These problems include marketing for acquisition and retention, coding accuracy, revenue growth, health care disparity, payment integrity, quality of care, health care cost reduction and, ultimately, personalized care management. In this section, audience will learn a basic understanding of the role of predictive analytics in US Healthcare marketplace.
