Description: Chapter 5 of the Models for Retirement Policy Analysis. This chapter describes CORSIM, the Cornell Microsimulation Model, which is a large dynamic microsimulation model developed and maintained at Cornell University. CORSIM is a large-scale dynamic microsimulation model. It simulates the basic demographic and socioeconomic events that characterize the socioeconomic conditions of the population. Strengths and limitations of the approach are addressed as well as accessibilty and ease of use.

Description: This is a 2003 supplement to the RP-2000 Mortality Table Report. Since the publication of the report, actuaries have become increasingly interested in using mortality rates that reflect adjustments for collar or benefit amount. This supplement addresses that interest by providing additional applicable tables.

The origin of the problem of state variations in valuation laws and an approach to resolve the problem. 2. Practical challenges faced in annual statement preparation. 3. Description: This model arose from a project to evaluate the cost of a health care access' program to provide comprehensive medical care to uninsureds in Minnesota, for the Minnesota Health Care Access Commission. The project was to provide estimates of the impact on per-person and aggregate costs for various participation percentages in the access program. In order to evaluate those costs, the antiselection model described in this was developed. Of note, this was the ACTUARIAL EDUCATION AND RESEARCH FUND 1991 PRACTITIONERS AWARD WINNER.
