Description: This presentation is a panel discussion from the 1991 Annual Meeting of the Society of Actuaries, held October 20-23 in Toronto. Noting that continuing education can be much more efficiently accomplished if it is planned, the speakers discuss the development of their own continuing education plans, in the broader sense of career and professional development. Another topic of discussion is the Society of Actuaries’ ‘Professional Actuarial Specialty Guides’ and the committee that has done a tremendous amount of work in putting them together.
