Description: The Joint Committee on Health Insurance appointed a subcommittee, known as Task Force 4, to study the problems of reserves for accident and health insurance. The final report of the Task Force, including basic tables of net annual claim costs for hospital and surgical expense insurance, was adopted by the NAIC at its December 1956 meeting. This article contains the Task Force's final report [included as Appendix A] and 30 Tables for use in valuing hospital and surgical expense insurance in accordance with the recommendations of Task Force 4.
