In this talk, we examine the modeling of insurance losses resulting from natural catastrophes, particularly losses to residential and commercial structures as a result of earthquakes. The model proposed can also be used for other types of natural catastrophes such as floods and hurricanes.

In this paper, the author considers the problem of valuating American options written on assets that pay continuous dividends with unknown optimal exercise boundary. Description: This is the abstract of the paper Risk Classification by Fuzzy Cluster. In this paper an algorithm for risk classification is proposed. This algorithm is based on the concepts of fuzzy cluster. We test our algorithm with two examples, the results are very promising.
